Miss Tanzania namba tatu, Jihan Dimachk.
Jihan: Okey, nashukuru kuwafahamu, karibuni.
Jihan: Siwezi kuongea sana jamani lakini kwa kifupi nilikuwa nikiamini nitashinda, niseme tu kwamba it was unfair but I can’t explain (haikuwa sawa ila siwezi kuelezea).
Ijumaa: Kwa nini unasema hivyo? hebu fafanua kauli yako.
Jihan: Siwezi kulijibu swali hilo kwani haijatokea.
Ijumaa: Unamuongeleaje Sitti Mtemvu?
Ijumaa: Kwa nini elimu?

Warioba:Sina mpango kuhama CCM

 Jaji Joseph Warioba

14 UK companies cutting across various sectors e.g. Education and Training, Security, Consultancy, Healthcare amongst others are hoping to penetrate new trade opportunities within Tanzania by taking part in UKTI London and South East trade mission to Tanzania between October 22nd-24th 2014. This is the first, independent visit by UKTI London and South East to Tanzania and East Africa.
Tanzania is fast emerging as a thriving commercial entity with a GDP growth rate of over 7% year upon year. The major city of Dar es Salaam where we will be staying is the centre of most government activity as well as being the major commercial centre with its own deep water port with trading links to the landlocked countries of Malawi, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.
Tanzania not only has some of the best wildlife in the world but also huge natural resources ranging from gemstones to natural gas. As such, it is fast becoming the regional hub for a number of multinational corporations. This will be an exciting opportunity for UK businesses to see what they can bring to the country.

As part of the programme which is being organised by UKTI in Tanzania, the delegates will have a first-hand opportunity to meet and speak with local trade associations and their members e.g. the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) and the Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TNCCI) and the newly set-up British Chamber of Commerce Tanzania (BCCT). They will also have a chance to speak directly with business at a Business to Business event scheduled for Thursday, 23rd October at the Serena Hotel from 1.00 to 4.00pm. We believe this will create a great opportunity for the visiting companies to meet and discuss business directly with business.
David Billingsby, UKTI International Trade Adviser, who will lead the London delegation, said:
“Having worked in Tanzania before, I know the excellence of the reception these British companies will receive. I am certain that the mission will be successful and the delegates will be saying Asante sana!”

World Food Day Campaign Donations

TANZANIA, OCTOBER 21st On World Food Day, Hellofood Tanzania, the online food delivery service, celebrated by donating on behalf of the public. In support of World Food Day Hellofood initiated the campaign “You Say. We Donate.” to encourage collective efforts and involve the public.

In a world of plenty, one in nine people live with chronic hunger. According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization:
·         Almost 5 million children under the age of 5 die of malnutrition-related causes every year

·         4 in 10 children in poor countries are malnourished damaging their bodies and brains

·         60% of the hungry in the world are women

The “You say. We donate.” campaign was simple and effective. On hellofood’s Facebook page the public were invited to comment on the World Food Day post and choose which food item they would like us to donate. Four staple food items were available to choose from: Rice, Wheat Flour, Beans and Potatoes.

The hellofood team collected the donation requests and will now supply the food to The Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam on the 23rd October 2014. The telecom company Tigo Tanzania collaborated in hellofood’s efforts and by sharing the same post on their Facebook page. They also received a fantastic response making this campaign a remarkable success.

More than half of the participants asked us to donate rice; the second most requested food item was beans, followed by wheat flour. Hellofood is going to convert the number of comments into quantities such as kilograms or bags and buy them from nearby markets to support the local sellers while helping those in need of food donations.

To attend the donation event between Hellofood and The Rotary Club, please contact Zoher Anjari at the details below.
